• How to link an app to an existing page on Facebook?

Hello everyone, it’s been a while I wrote anything. I just had been a little busy with my life and I needed a vacation so I went to Thailand.. yey. I deserved that šŸ˜›

It was a fine Saturday evening and suddenly one of my friends pinged me and said, “Hey Saket, I need some help man. IĀ createdĀ a Facebook AppĀ andĀ a Facebook App Page, but I can’t see the app button on the Page”. It’s not a strange problem, I faced the same problem myself few months ago. It happens people create Facebook Page and Facebook App independently and struggle linking them together. So I think it’s worth addressing the issue.

The best way to create a Facebook Page for a Facebook App is to create page from App Details page (Fig. 1), It’s will create the page and link the App to it. But in case you have created the Facebook App Page independently you don’t need to delete it and go through theĀ troubleĀ of recreating the whole damn page. All you need to do is to make sure the Display Name of the Facebook App Page must has the Display Name of your Facebook App, if not just rename it to satisfy this necessary condition. And go to app details page in your developer account and click on “Create a New Facebook Page” button(Fig. 1). It will just link your existing page to your App.
